ELSI Dialogues: EU support to gender equality in research and innovation

What is the EU doing to support gender equality in research and innovation, and why is it important?

This talk provides an overview of the strengthened provisions for gender equality in Horizon Europe, explaining how gender equality plans can become a game changer for structural change at research organisations, and why integrating the gender dimension in research proposals matters.

The webinar looks into the European Commission’s policy background, results from the She Figures 2021 report, as well as some practical resources for strengthening gender equality at the institutional and research level.

This webinar was organised by BBMRI-ERIC’s ELSI Services & Research unit. BBMRI-ERIC is a European Research Infrastructure for biobanking and biomedical resources, and its ELSI unit provides guidance on ethical, legal and societal issues in biobanking and the life sciences more generally.
