Cyprus

BBMRI.cy is the official Cypriot node of BBMRI-ERIC, led by the Ministry of Health and integrating the national biobanking landscape with European standards and infrastructures. The Node encompasses the country’s two biobanks and coordinates national biospecimen and data collections. These include biobank.cy — Centre of Excellence in Biobanking and Biomedical Research at the University of Cyprus — and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), which contributes clinical and disease-focused collections.
BBMRI.cy provides secure, GDPR-compliant access, ELSI support and links Cypriot researchers, clinicians and industry to BBMRI-ERIC’s federated platform, enabling international research access and advancing precision medicine and genomic initiatives in Cyprus. More about BBMRI.cy
