The ISCIII Biomodels and Biobanks Platform is a national infrastructure under the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII) and serves as Spain’s BBMRI-ERIC National Node. It currently consists of 42 core units and 30 affiliated units, structured into four scientific-technological HUBs: Biobanks (59 units), Organoids (26 units), Animal Models (28 units) and 3D Printing (24 units).
Operating across 15 Autonomous Communities, P_ISCIII_BB enhances biomedical research by facilitating the collection, handling and supply of biological samples, along with associated clinical data, to support scientific and technological advancements on a national and international level.
